aDorryble Delights
My baking started because of my children. I didn't like going back and forth into stores to purchase cakes for special occasions. I especially didn't like the sugar content or the food colouring used in the cakes. So I decided to take basic baking classes at George Brown College and I started making cakes for my family and friends.
Fast forward, 10 years later, I decided to bring ube and mocha mini cupcakes to work for the diversity month potluck. The cupcakes were a hit and everyone loved them!
I received so many comments on how the flavours were so unique, how the frosting was not too sweet and how the cupcakes were so moist and just melted in your mouth My colleagues, and even the Managers, started to inquire about how they could order from me for their team meetings and other personal events.

In 2019, I started taking orders from the public. I created an Instagram account on April 2019 and aDorryble Cupcakes was established. My business goal was to make simple but delicious cakes and dainty sweets with quality ingredients. My recipes can be tailored for any special dietary needs, and I currently have gluten-free, dairy free and vegan alternatives to the traditional recipe.
My customer base and Instagram followers grew quite rapidly. I also gained a loyal customer base. The customers vocalized that they would no longer go to any other bakery as I will be their number 1 choice. It was nerve racking taking on additional customers, as I had only made cakes for my kids, family and friends. Also at that time, I was not confident in making custom cakes. But thanks to YouTube, I was able to practice various techniques. Now when people ask me which school I went to for my cake decorating, I always say, University of YouTube :)
Not only do I make cupcakes and cakes; I also make and arrange sweet tables and make/decorate wedding cakes. In 2022, I renamed my business to aDorryble Delights to align my products and services with my business.
